Stack/fuel cell system
Stack/fuel cell system
-
A single cell of an MEA is composed of electrolyte, electrodes, and a separator for supplying fuel and discharging water. The single cells are stacked to output usable voltage. The fuel cell we are focusing on is a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEMFC) that can be applied to marine mobility.
-
The fuel cell system, which has to be applied to marine mobility, needs to be optimized for the marine environment due to the different environment from the ground, which has to produce maximum output when moving due to air containing a large amount of salt and surface resistance.
-
We are developing a marine-only stack and a fuel cell system and through this, we are doing our best to contribute to environmental regulations and carbon neutrality of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
